The environment is dynamic: day and night alternate and are filled with thunderstorms and sunshine. Deadly radioactive emissions occur periodically but unpredictably, killing anyone and anything who cannot find shelter. Live the life of undercover agent Major Degtyarev, an experienced stalker, as he operates within the Zone. This is non-linear gameplay at its best, as the player seeks allies and makes enemies in the treacherous and fragile balance between rival factions, bandits, and mercenaries. Friendships are only temporary in the Zone, where a bullet that was supposed to protect can become the instrument of death in a matter of split seconds. Multiplayer modes provide endless enjoyment as players compete against each other individually and in teams to increase their rank and money. Climbing up the ladder is the way to get access to the most devastating weapons. A player's success depends on his proficiency in warfare and his ability to help his team.

Fun By Rynocirator I had played all S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games up till this one and honestly was impressed and disappointed at the same time...The difficulty in the other two games was incredibly high, this game removed all doubt of the series making progress into the "pick up and play" department. It's easy to get into and even easier to get addicted to. Its fun finding weapons and then tweaking them, and theres more exploration so you may find hidden special weapons that you can use the rest of the game in the first 10 minutes if you know where to look. All in all I put, easily, 20 hours in and I don't think I'm close to finishing. Also all the people with DX11, you're going to love the tessellation and light effects.
Great game, just distances are huge. By Rocket Scientist While this is technically a FPS, in reality, thanks to it's huge world, non-linear story line and side missions, it looks more like World of Warcraft (without online content), you can collect artifacts, trade goods, join various teams for monster hunting and so on. You can even don't follow the main story line, game is interesting even without it. Only drawback is that, distances are quite far, and for certain cases, you can't simply teleport - you have to walk by feet. So, presence of any mount or vehicle, would be a great addition.

Lots of good things to find to keek you going in the game. Lot of people have played it to help if you need a hnit !!! great game. everyone should play it one time or several------ I have played it six already.
